Job Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels of spare parts to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure competitive pricing and quality parts.
- Monitor the usage of spare parts and analyze trends to forecast future needs.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure that required parts are available for scheduled and emergency repairs.
- Evaluate and approve purchase orders for spare parts, ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and supplier performance.
- Implement inventory management best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Conduct regular audits of spare parts inventory to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.
- Assist in developing training materials and programs for staff on parts management and usage.
- Report on inventory levels, trends, and supplier performance to management.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations in all activities related to spare parts management.
