Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the daily operations of the collections department, ensuring targets and KPIs are met.
• Support the Collection Head in developing strategies for effective debt recovery and minimization of bad debts.
• Monitor accounts receivable to identify overdue accounts and take necessary actions to collect unpaid balances.
• Supervise and guide the collections team, providing training and support to improve performance and customer interaction.
• Analyze collection data and reports to identify trends and develop action plans for improvement.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients to facilitate amicable debt resolution.
• Implement and maintain compliance with collection policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
• Prepare and present reports on collection performance and strategies to the Collection Head and senior management.
• Assist in resolving escalated customer disputes, acting as a mediator between customers and the company.
• Participate in the recruitment and training of new team members within the collections department.

Qualifications

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field, along with several years of experience in collections or credit management. Proficiency in relevant software tools, strong analytical skills, and excellent organizational abilities are essential for success in this role.
